  6. Linda and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to Doug’s parents Dianne and Robert; Doug’s siblings, Karl, Christina, Ken and Colleen (Daniel); and his nieces and nephew Shelly, Jerome and Kaylee and to all of the friends that Doug has left behind scattered all over the world. His passing has left a tremendous hole in the hearts of many more people than he could ever have imagined. Doug was an easy young man to like. Doug was a good man, good humored and soft spoken. He had a unique style and wit. Doug was the love of our daughter Josselyn’s life and we were looking forward to welcoming him into the family. We were lucky to have gotten to spend some precious time with this young man. We were looking forward to many more years of getting to know him. Doug had promise and potential and more importantly a kind loving soul. He will always be missed.

  9. Earlier in the evening a friend of mine, Luke, told me of Doug’s passing and I was both shocked and saddened by the news. For some reason last week I thought about him just out of the blue. Now I know it was God’s way of telling me that a wonderful man had left this world to be with Him. I had the pleasure of going to Elementary, Junior High, High School and SAIT with him. I’m sad that we didn’t get a chance to reconnect since I last saw him 7 years ago. I wish there was something I could have done, something I could have said. One my favorite memories is of Doug, Luke, Serena and I laughing in Grade 5. Laughing so much that Mrs. Lane had to separate us for causing a ruckus. 🙂 You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Someday we will all see him in Paradise. God Bless.

Condolences to the whole family, Doug was a good guy. I had only known him for a few years at St. Matthews junior high, but I still remember what kind of guy he was, and too bad the world will miss out on what kind of man he would have been.
