Roger was born in Portsmouth, England, in 1942. He did his apprenticeship in H.M. Dockyard and became an electrical engineer. He immigrated to Canada with Rosemary and Karen in August 1967 and settled in Calgary. Roger began a long career in the oil patch working for good companies where he made some wonderful friends. He was a member of the I.O.F. for forty-three years and spent many years coaching with the Y.B.C. He enjoyed spending time at his summer house at Pine Lake, golfing, curling, playing darts and cards. Before his battle with cancer Roger also enjoyed travelling, cruising and seeing many different parts of the world. Roger was a dedicated and passionate man towards his family, work and life.
