Mildred passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on December 31, 2006, at the age of 87.
Mildred was the last surviving member of the A.T. Hutchinson family. Mildred and Allan farmed for many years in the Strongfield, SK. area. They later moved to Saskatoon and then on to Calgary, where they have lived for the past twenty-eight years. Mildred will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; one who always enjoyed sharing in her family’s experiences.
Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her devoted daughters, Jean (Ron) Starzynski, of Saskatoon, SK., Joan (Richard) Gaasenbeek, of Markdale, ON., and Judy (Vern) Hicks, of Halifax NS.; grandchildren Ashley Starzynski, Jenny (Howard) Campbell, Robert and Becky Gaasenbeek; great-grandchildren Hannah and Caitlin Campbell; sisters-in-law Dorothy (Reuben) Harris and Charlotte (Wes) Reimer; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins – especially Pearl Whitten, and extended family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allan, her two brothers, Burton and John, and her sister, Lulu.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Strongfield, SK. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Rudy (Della) Prediger for being such caring and helpful neighbours, Dr. B.
