Rena has a big family, but her friends were the biggest family she couldn’t have asked for more. Rena was a one of a kind, humble, caring and a very humorous character. She was known as an all around cowgirl in a cowboy’s world. Rena was friends with all who knew her; male or female. She never left the room without making somebody laugh. In the sport of rodeo, Rena excelled in many timed and rough stock events. She rode horses all her life and was always up for a challenge. She never turned down the opportunity to break horses with the boys. Besides rodeo, Rena was always up for a game of hockey and eagerly jumped in net. Our beloved tomboy, Rena will be dearly missed.

Rena was predeceased by her Grandmothers; Annie Simeon and Genevieve Big Tobacco. Grandfathers; George Runner and Samuel Cutter. Uncles; Sammy Manywounds, Pete Manywounds, Floyd Runner, Roger Runner and Aunty Betty Cutter. The family apologizes for anyone missed. A special thanks to the Community members of the Tsuu T’ina Nation for their support and contributions.
