MANYWOUNDS – Kevin John (Spoons)

November 12, 1974 – November 1, 2010

It is with great sadness that our father, son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and nephew, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the age of 35 years.

Kevin was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary on November 12, 1974. Kevin had such a unique personality. He was so kind and compassionate towards his friends, his “sister’s and brother’s” there are too many to be named. While growing up he played many sports. His utmost accomplishment was to participate in the Rodeo circuit as an all around cowboy. He was a strong advocate to the younger generation directing them to follow the Rodeo trail. Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Kevin is the most treasured father of his three beautiful daughters, Santana, Clarissa and Trinity whom he called his “Dixie Chicks”; his loving parents John and Lottie Manywounds; older brother Peter (Lisa); sisters Amanda and Anne (Hank). He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly and looked at him as a father figure and respected him. Kevin is also survived by extended family all over America.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Annie Manywounds and Stephen and Elsie Mistakenchief.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Lottie and John Manywounds (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB) on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB) on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow Tsuu T’ina Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Kevin Manywounds, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W.  Telephone: (403) 243-8200.
