It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Morris Andre Manybears at the age of 37 years on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
He leaves behind his loving wife Charlene of 20 years and their precious children; Rilee, Braden, Talijeh, and Allie.
He also leaves behind his brother and sisters; Georgette (Aldred) Medicine Shield, James (Crystal), Alanna, Krista (Tyler) White, Jack Rowe, adopted siblings; Murray (Renea) Conrad, Sarah Fleury, and Aileen Runner, inlaws; Dora (Bobby) McMaster, Lillian (Marcel) Good Eagle, his father in law Charles (Arlene) Many Fires as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many relatives. His aunts and uncle; Veronica (Wayne) Olds, Teresa Knowlton, Clara Manybears, Maryanne Wells, Steve Red Old Man, great aunts; Cecille Many Guns and Cecillia Many Heads, and great uncles; Albert Manybears and James Calf, godmother Annie Running Rabbit.
He was predeceased by his parents Aloysius and Frances Manybears, his sister Francine Medicine Shield, his brother Warren Cooper, grandparents; James and Alice Manybears and Frank and Mary Medicine Shield; his niece and nephews Alexis White, Brandon Medicine Shield and Dustin McMaster, godfather Joe Running Rabbit, mother in law, Laverna Good Eagle, brother in laws, Elroy and Michael Good Eagle.
Morris will always be remembered for his sense of humour by his family and friends, as well as his love for music as he played the drums. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. Morris graduated from Old Sun College in June 2011.
He enjoyed working with his brother James as a carpenter and was employed with Siksika Membership on the nation. Morris made his Cursillo June 2010. He treasured watching and supporting his kids play sports, traditional dancing and encouraged them to pursue their education.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Charlene and Morris Manybears Siksika Nation, AB on July 1, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Siksika Nation on July 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at the Crowfoot Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
