Manson, Doris

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

Doris was born in Oxbow, SK and married George in 1934. In 1936 she embarked on railway adventures that lead her to many places including Coronation, Red Deer and Penticton. She taught piano to many people and played with the Minnedosa Orchestra. Doris was also a lifetime member of the Royal Purple. She will be forever cherished and remembered by everyone whose life was touched by her.

Doris is survived by her daughter Deanna Ohlhauser of Carbon, AB; granddaughter Barb (Kevin); great-granddaughters Megan and Sarah; grandsons Dale, Dave (Alekesandra), Rick, Barry, Tim (Kary) and great-grandsons, Jacob, Michael, Dallas and Cameron. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1991, her son Douglas in 2002 and her son-in-law Archie in 2007.

A Celebration of Doris’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Three Hills Hospital and the Red Deer Hospital.
