I’ll always remember Marg for her beautiful smile, generous spirit, wacky sense of humour and the love she had for her family – especially how her eyes would sparkle whenever she spoke of her grandchildren. 4. My memories of Marg are all full of laughter and smiles. She wasn’t a pushover but she was never too harsh. When Jody and I were left to watch Sam and instead watched the Superchannel downstairs she wasn’t too happy when Sam had cut most of her hair off hiding behind the TV, but, she let us off rather easily. Could happen to anyone. I remember her calling us “little snots” and laughing and I remember that she made Nutella and Fluffo sandwiches 😀 She’s the reason Christine was always the champion at making and eating mini pancakes. She understood that what makes life great and worth living is that time you spend together as a family and she made every occasion festive and fun. I still put up the Christmas Mice she made for us every Christmas. They have a special place. If anyone starts to miss Marg too much they will just have to spend some time with Jody, Christine and Sam because a really healthy dose of all the wonderful things about Marg lives in them everday. Dave is still my favorite sock knitting, golf playing silly prankster. Marg tried to stop him from answering the phone “Joe’s house of slaughter, you stab him, we slab him” But I could hear her laughing in the background. I know I should be making a more somber condolence but I can’t help but remember these wonderful happy moments and, I guess, I’m lucky that all my memories are happy. We’ll miss her but a spirit like that does not go away. Sorry to be mushy Marg but I love you “Mrs. Manchester”, yes that’s what I always called her , from your little “snot”.

  14. David and Jody and family,

It was a pleasure working with Marg for the short time I did. Some people are originals and Marg was one of those people. Strong but with a good sense of humour. While I am sure it seems way too soon for her she certainly filled life up and faced it all with great courage.
    My sincere condolences.—Bruce Rabik
