Luceria (Lucy) Dimatulac Manaloto, beloved widow of Venancio, of Calgary, joined her creator and beloved husband on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the age of 88 years.
Lucy was given the gift of life on December 13, 1922 in San Vicente, Pampanga, Philippines. She met her loving Husband in Manila. In December of 1976, Lucy and Ben immigrated to Canada to be closer to their family.
Lucy is survived by her children and their spouses, Jaime (Phoebe) Manaloto and Ricky (Elma) Manaloto of the Philippines, Lolita (Rey) Reyes of Edmonton, Josie (Danny) Fajardo, Roy (Helen) Manaloto, Dave (Elvie) Manaloto, Shirley (El) Manabat, Ofelia (Guy) Magat, and Julius Manaloto, her adopted family Mel, Noemi and Migs all of Calgary. Twenty-eight grandchildren, Menchie (Alex), Dennis, Louie, Michelle, Techie, Paulo, Jaymee, Tracy (Mathew), Bobby (Kim), Toni, Dave, Mau, Bingle (Jay), Mark (Melanie), Charles (Rosie), Charlotte (Daniel), Vida, Davidson, Theresa, Ryan, Sheldon, Sheena, Genesis, Gerswin, Justine, Rosanna, Venessa, and Julia; twenty-three great-grandchildren, Nikki, Isabella, J.C., Pocholo, Lancelot, Joshua, Christian, Vencer, Jasper, Margie, Jane, Vida II, Rayna, Patrick, Evan, Cole, Jazmine, Luca, Aya, Toni, Sophia, Sidney, and Miyaki.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
