Eleanor Marie Malo, beloved wife of Bud Malo of Calgary, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007 at the age of 74 years.
Eleanor was born December 14, 1932 in Calgary, and graduated from Western Canada High School. She married Bud on March 31, 1951 in Calgary. Eleanor was an active volunteer, including teaching autistic children. Eleanor’s career was as a professional wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed time spent and supporting her family in all their extracurricular activities. She, and Bud especially enjoyed their time on the equestrian show jumping circuit with their daughter. Eleanor also enjoyed her time with her friends on the golf course. Eleanor was an avid gardener, especially adept at growing dahlias in her front yard.
Besides her loving husband Bud, Eleanor is also survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Glen Malo of Bragg Creek and Mona MacDonald of Calgary; Tim and Kathleen Malo of Calgary, her daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Rick Krol of Calgary; as well as her five grandchildren, Stephanie, Lesley and Scott Malo; Matthew and Joelle Krol. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Alan L. (Smokey) Wiltse and her brother Urban Alan Wiltse.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 5340 – 4th Street S.W. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow on a later date at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
