  5. Linda Meunier :

I was shocked to hear of Marlene’s passing. I worked with Marlene a few years ago and found her to be a gentle caring person who was never too busy to help a person find what they needed in the library. God has now taken Marlene into his arms where she will wait for all of us to meet her one day. Her earthly pain and disease have now been removed and she rests (and waits) in peace. My condolences to her family. God bless.

  7. Marlene’s law firm is a customer of mine and as a result, I dealt with Marlene almost daily for the last 7+ years. Our “work” emails eventually included talks of trips, life, gardening and of course, chocolate. I have her famous brownie recipe now. We corresponded throughout her fight and her hope and bravery never ceased to amaze me. I will miss our weekly correspondence and of course, her friendship, rest in peace my dear friend. Gone way to soon.

I met Marlene on my very first day of practicing law. Twenty-six years have passed since that first meeting and I can honestly say that I have never worked with a more thoughtful, helpful and enjoyable person. We shared travel stories and I ate her cookies. She was beautiful in every sense of the word. It is a sad time for all who knew her and my thoughts go out to her family.

  15. Lorraine Lambert :

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Marlene for about 10 years at the law firm of Macleod Dixon. In my early days she was the “go-to” gal for anything involving the library. Her smile has stayed with me especially these last two years as she fought her illness. I pray for Marlene’s family and friends as they grieve. May the love and peace that surrounds Marlene in eternal heaven bring them comfort and peace. God bless.
