MacDONALD – Dorothy Mary

September 26, 1925 – October 10, 2009

Dode MacDonald, beloved wife, dedicated mother, cherished grandmother and dear friend, passed away quietly on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the age of 84 years.

She shall forever be remembered as the indispensable bond that held our family together. Dode leaves behind her devoted husband Bob; 3 daughters, Barb Lamont, Joan Mason, Patti Burk; 5 grandchildren, and one great grandson.

A celebration of Dode’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 2:30 p.m.

  3. Joan, Bob, Patti and Barb, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of “Dode”. It has been a very long time and I certainly have many many very fond memories of Calgary and growing up there and spending many hours at your home, with all of you and even old “Ginger”. I remember your mom having to walk her at the end of the music of one of the soap operas, and if she turned down the music Ginger did not fuss about the walk.
    “Dode” was a lovely woman, mother, wife, and I would be sure a wonderful grandmother as well. My heart goes out to all of you in these tender times of adjustments to your worlds. Thinking of all of you, I send my love,
