    Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

During my years with CP, I considered Dan more as a friend than as a colleague. I have so many fond memories and recall some particular moments when we played baseball (California Tigers) in the CP league. After the game, we all went to the pub and Dan would spontaniously jump on the stage and play a few tunes on his guitar.

To Darlene and Family, our deepest sympathies.

  12. Dearest Darlene, Neal, Cole and the Macaulay family. We cannot image your sorrow as the tax department family here at CP shares your loss as well. His voice, laughter, character and stories echo through our minds. He was truly proud of his family and described how valued you each were to him, constantly – Billy too.

My deepest condolences, and praying for all of God’s comfort through your grief,

    Victor

Eddy and I just want all of you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time. Danny was a special friend. Growing up all my fond memories include his kindness and special talents as a wonderful guitar player. Campfires were always special when Danny joined as the music was wonderful and rich. Words seem inadequate at this time to express how sorry we are but we hope that knowing there are many who are mourning his passing helps in some small way. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
