It was very sad to hear of the tragic passing of Jason. It is a terrible loss of a man so young. I sincerely wish all members of Jason’s family remember all the good things about Jason and let those memories provide the strength to endure this very difficult time. As his uncle, I remember the good times I had visiting John, Grace, Christopher and Jason in Calgary when Chris and Jason were still young. Those are the memories I will hold dear.
My hope is that now are in a better place Jason.

  7. Jason was quite and kept to himself. Once you cracked his bubble he became alive and boisterous. Those that were able to see Jason that wasnt closed were lucky. He was passionate about his work, traveling and music. He wasn’t a man of excuses just results. He was one of the best concrete floor finishers in this province. Jason was one among thousands for his trade. He will be missed.

  18. Karen Robbins Nee: McIntosh :

My heart is broken by this tragic event. I loved Jason and his family. My heart goes out to Chris Lucy and his niece and nephews. I know they brought a lot of Joy to his heart. I hope John read the Bob Marley quote above. It is perfect. My heart goes out to Brian, Kathy and Janie and I will continue to pray for the entire family.

I was one of the fortunate ones who Jason opened up to. I’ve seen him at his happiest when he was friends with Bill W. I was there to celebrate with Grace and John when he reached a milestone.

I know he had challenges with life, and I think God decided it was time to take him home.
I will continue to pray for his soul, I will continue to pray for his family.

    With love and fond Memories

Well I don’t pray much and not even sure I believe in a higher power but from what I knew about Jason I’m not sure it matters. He was a friend and a hard worker and he lived by the rule I hold dear and that is the golden rule … I’m sure there’s more out there after we pass and I’m sure you found it buddy……

  24. Andrea Archibald (Neumann) :

My heart goes out to Jason’s entire family. He was an amazing guy who left this earth too soon. I first met Jason when I was 17, and we were fast friends from there. Even living in different cities we always remained in touch. My fondest memory was a visit Jason made to Vancouver, where we got coffee and walked down to Kitsilano beach. Even though it was cold, rainy and windy out, Jason still wanted to go stand on the sand and breathe in the air and it was then he turned to me and said that spot was where he needed to be. Where he needed to direct his life. I have never heard such clarity and happiness out of him. But it sounds as though his God had a different plan for him, and I now know that all the battles he fought, the troubles, the challenges, they are all gone now and he is smiling down on us with that amazing smile and telling us he’s okay. He’s happy and carefree now. He’s standing on his beach, breathing in the air and humming along to his favourite songs. Jason was an incredible guy. I was one of the lucky ones to get to have him open up to me completely. To admit weakness, to ask for help. I am going to miss everything about him. Rest in peace Jason. To sign this off as you always signed off your emails….
