  2. Garfield Anderson :

Dear Fred & Nelda, Milton & Wilma, and families

I am saddened to hear of Anna’s passing. She was such a very special person to me for many decades; I loved her and I know she loved me as well. Please accept my sincere condolences; her passing will leave a void in your lives as well as mine.

I regret not seeing more of Anna in these last few years but we did keep in touch by telephone when possible. Anna was always so supportive of my wife, Jocelyn, and always interested in her as well as my family. Anna exemplified kindness of the human spirit.

I remember when I was a young teacher, just a kid really, how both your mother and dad accepted me, and welcomed me into your home. Those years in Beiseker and at Beeman School were very rewarding. One of the most significant rewards was the friendship of Anna and Frank, and Freddy and Milton and their families.

I will be unable to attend the funeral on Friday as I am leaving for Palm Springs on Thursday morning where I shall be for a week and then I’m going onto Arkansas to visit my kids who live there. I am just back from PEI as of last Sunday night. I was there watching my grandson play hockey in the World Junior Hockey Tournament as member of Team Canada West where they won a silver medal.

Although I will not be physically present on Friday for the service, I will be there in spirit.

With deep affection to all of you,

    Garfield Anderson
