Condolence Messages

  1. Libby Dal Bianco nee Smith :

I am so saddened to receive the news of Mary’s death. She has been my friend since grade one in St. Thomas. We had many wonderful times growing up. Her father drove us everywhere and especially tobogganing at the Golf Club. A group of eight of us formed a lonely hearts club and kept that friendship to this day. Unfortunately most of the girls live in the east so we haven’t seen much of Mary for the past few years and have missed her. Christopher, Curtis and Susan, please accept my loving sympathy. Your mother was a great person, I will miss her friendship and will cherish my memories.Hopefully your many happy memories will help your healing process.
With our Love Libby & Don Dal Bianco

  2. Dorinda Keith :

Libby has said it all. Our group had such good times together even eating popcorn and watching the TV “snow”. Anthony’s Music Store had the first TVs in town and there was not very good reception but our friendship developed at times like this. Mary Ellen as we knew her was always good fun and great to be with. Many trips to “Port” on our bikes, only to get a ride home in the store truck after lying on the beach for the day! You will have many happy memories to help you through the coming days. Robbie and I send our sincere sympathy to the family.
With our love, Dorinda and Robbie Keith

  4. Jennifer Fisher-Sundberg :

Susan, Chris and Curtis, I am so sad to hear of your mom’s passing and I am so sad for you. Your mom was such a special person. We had good times as kids on your front lawn in Calgary, sliding down the hill, picking poppies and just playing on the grass. We knew your mom always had an eye on us. She was certainly one of the “neighbors”, a title that means a lot. She was the life of every neighborhood party and such a fun, welcoming person.

My heart goes out to you with love and support during this journey.

Wishing you peace in your memories.

    Much love and hugs, Jennifer

  5. Doreen Briggs Miller :

Remembering Mary as a beautiful person, kind & great sense of humor. I met her around 1973 when late Tom Briggs & Peter worked for PMM. I particularly remember a ski trip to Panorama. This was before late Tom & had kids.Peter & Mary got all the gear on you kids – looked exhausted before even hitting the hill! Mary said” Just another cup of coffee & a cigarette, I’ll be fine!” My deepest sympathies on the loss of your beautiful mother.
