LUEDEMANN, Hans Uwe

March 9, 1930 – January 5, 2013

Hans Uwe Luedemann beloved husband of Valentine of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the age of 82 years.

Hans was born in Hamburg, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He married Valentine on April 17, 1954 in Calgary where they raised their five children. Hans served in the Army with the PPCLI from 1955-58. Hans operated his own delivery company for most of his life. He was an avid stamp collector and loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.

Besides Valentine his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Hans is survived by sons, Peter (Cathy), Robert, Carey (Teresa) and Ken; daughter Valerie (Edwin) Weseen; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kyle, Michael, Corinna and Tara (Kris Mills); great-grandchildren, Ryley, Tyler, Emmalee, Chloe and Olivia; and sister-in-law Lisa Domke.

  2. Sorry to hear of the passing of your dad Peter and Robert. I did not know him that well but he seemed to be a nice man. The minute I read the obituary I thought of you both and the good times we had growing up in Haysboro, we sure had alot of fun.
