LUBLINKHOF, Alex Martinus

May 10, 1934 – November 14, 2011

Alex Lublinkhof, loving husband of Sylvia Lublinkhof, passed away at his home, surrounded by family on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the age of 77 years.

Alex was born in Beerzeveld, Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1953.

Alex is survived by his daughter Martha Peterson and her partner Mark Corrigan, daughter Bernetta van Sluys and her husband Adrian, son Gene Lublinkhof and his wife Carmen. Alex is also survived by his pride and joy, his grandchildren; Bryce van Sluys (Kelly), Marc van Sluys (Christina), Eric van Sluys, Cory Peterson, Jorja Lublinkhof and Averi Lublinkhof and brothers Johan, Nico and Bernard Lublinkhof.

He was predeceased by his mother Berendina Lublinkhof and his brother Karl Lublinkhof.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Heeg, for his compassionate care as well as Dr. Thaell and his staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their excellent support.     missed by many…likely will have some old pictures of him and Nico in my albums somewhere…..February 7 2012 I will be celebrating my 80th birthday, God willing. My roommate of many years passed away of cancer April 2 this year so my thoughts and prayer of comfort are with you all…
