Hans beloved husband of Anna Lubig (nee Terlouw) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 10, 2014 at the age of 84 years.
Hans was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 1958 for a better life for his family. He was a hard working man in order to support his growing family. He recently had retired from many years of service to UMA Engineering. As an avid boxer back in Europe, he was a champion Heavy Weight in Southern Holland. Hans enjoyed his jazz music and a good cigar while soaking up the sun. He will be missed dearly by everyone who’s life he touched.
Hans is survived by his wife, Anna; his children, Ellen (Harry), Annelies (Jaap), Robert (Jill), Peter (Bonnie) and Monique (Alex); numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild; and his sister, Liesbeth of Holland. He was predeceased by one son Willie.
A Celebration of Hans’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
