Condolence Messages

  1. Dr. Robert G. Martin :

Ed and I were medical classmates and we both were fortunate to become residents in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology program in London under the leadership of the late Dr. Robert A.H. Kinch. Although our career paths deviated we maintained our relationship over these many years, partially through our Obstetrical travel club. One of the highlights for Joan and me was our 7 week sabbatical with Ed in China in 1995.
Our last visit with Ed was at Christmas last year. Although his health was obviously declining we had a wonderful visit and are thankful that we were able to have those precious moments with him – having lunch at his favourite location, discussing our careers, our families, and his wonderful Chinese art and West Coast Haida masks collection.

Recently, maybe I could get a chance to go Canada to finish my PhD career, but it is so pity that I can never see him again, we could neither have conversation nor even share jokes.
