| McInnis & Holloway purchased Airdrie’s only funeral home in 1993 because it reflected their business philosophy of keeping funeral homes close to the communities they serve. This move ensured that the people of Airdrie would continue to have a funeral home in their neighborhood and would not have to rely on funeral homes located in Calgary, some distance away. The location has been renovated to better serve families from Airdrie and surrounding rural communities. | |

One of Calgary’s newer funeral homes, The Chapel of the Bells is specially designed to meet the needs of a variety of funeral services. The Chapel, with stunning stained glass display, accommodates large or small gatherings. The location also offers a beautiful reception room complete with fireplace and full-service kitchen for the family’s use after a service, a funeral home lounge area where families can gather in a home-like setting, a covered marquee for vehicles to guard against inclement weather, and a crematorium on-site.
McInnis & Holloway’s Chapel of the Bells location in north Calgary houses the Olive Branch Grief Resource Library. Available to all families and community groups, our library contains books, publications and videos on a variety of topics related to death and grief. Information booklets are available free of charge, and books and videos are available for a two-week lending period. Additions are always being made to the library, so visit us at 2720 Centre Street North in Calgary (Alberta) for the complete selection. |

McInnis & Holloway completed contraction in February of 2006 Cochrane’s first full-service funeral home. Designed to meet the needs of all families and faiths, the Cochrane Funeral Home brings area residents all the services they need.
In the past, residents of Cochrane had the choice of limited services in Cochrane or dealing with funeral homes in Calgary to secure funeral services. Now, they have access to all the services they may need, including cremation, burial and memorial services from a local funeral home, without ever leaving town. McInnis & Holloway’s Cochrane Funeral Home features an open concept layout that gives us the flexibility to plan a service tailored to the needs of each family we serve. Our Chapel can accommodate 140 friends and relatives and our reception area is perfect for gatherings after the service. |

Eastside Memorial Chapel is Calgary’s first “community concept” funeral home. This location contains architecturally-designed areas to suit the surrounding neighborhood’s ethnic communities with specific customs and traditions.
Although Eastside Memorial Chapel can accommodate ceremonies for all faiths and cultures, this unique approach recognizes Alberta’s rich ethnic and cultural fabric, and the need for everyone – regardless of background – to mark the passing of life with affection, dignity and respect. Although every ethnic group has many different cultural traditions surrounding the funeral service, Eastside’s design addresses ethnicity in some of the following ways:
The unique design of Eastside Memorial Chapel is a continuation of McInnis & Holloway’s commitment to providing a variety of services for Calgary and area families. As part of this commitment, Kathy Cloutier, Manager of Chapel of the Bells, researched and wrote “Customs and Traditions in Times of Death and Bereavement” a guide which covers a variety of ethnic traditions specific to funerals and grieving. |
