    Dear Family of George Loades

Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of George. We are so moved by the passion that this gentle man had for the things he believed in. His coming to our recent 50th reunion of CLC graduates, while obviously not well, is but an example. May God keep you and may he guard over all those he loved.

    My Dearest Ann:

Part of me is gone. George was as close to me as my own brother. Our condolences, love and prayers go out to you and your family.

At the moment, I have a aching in my chest and a feeling of great sorrow. I feel empty.

He did so much for other people, asking nothing in return but their friendship. He helped me through some difficult times and was always there if I needed him. I am sorry that I was not there when he may have needed someone to help or just be with him. Please forgive me for not being there for him and you.

I am trying to tell myself that George would want me to remember the good times; the fun time and to rejoice in the rememberance of our times together. It was an honour and a privilige to have had him as my close friend and in essence, my brother.

He is at peace now and gone home to be with God and those who have gone before him to prepare the way. I find solace in the fact, that God willing, I may have the opportunity to see him again when my time comes as I am sure you do as well.

What more can I say. If this was a letter you would see the tear stains on it.

God bless and comfort you and your family.

    Verne and Joan Lunan

  6. Dear Anne and Family,
It is hard to find the words to express my deep sadness. George was a pure class act. His kindness and grace made him loved by all who were blessed to know him. When he passed a brilliant light went out and left us all in a darker place. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. I was saddened to learn of George’s passing. This is truly a loss for all who knew him. He was one of my instructors at CREB. He was an inspiration. George could somehow make the driest of materials seem interesting. I can still hear him, with his thundering voice saying “PRESS HAAARD, the fourth copy is yours”.

George will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered.

I believe i was very fortunate to have such a classy & professional individual prepare me for my career some 10 years ago as my head instructor representing the Calgary Real Estate Board. George was always very proud of our industry and upheld the highest of standards when it came to his work as well as his constant contribution to the education of fellow agents. The city of Calgary, The Calgary Real Estate Board, RECA as well as all of us have lost both a pioneer and a beloved gentleman. My deepest sympathies go out to the family.

  18. Dear Ann and family,
Words are truly inadequate to express my heartfelt feelings for you. George will always have such a special place in the hearts of all who were blessed to be classmates with him in Camrose. He was always so vibrant, so full of life – he lived every moment to its fullest.
We were all so blessed with his humorous stories of dorm life at CLC – I am so glad he was able to join us and share his memories. He always was a great speaker and expressed himself so well.
We do hope you will keep in touch with his CLC classmates.
What a wonderful service in his memory!
Ann, you were such a gracious lady and in the midst of your sorrow, you took time to visit with us.
May God give you grace and peace.
