Condolence Messages

  1. Isabel Gibson :

A wonderful life: to have touched so many, to have helped so many. I will remember his infectious chuckle, his love for and knowledge of his faith, his “hooks on the wall” theory of teaching, his green thumb, and his distaste for socks.

  2. Melderine James :

My condolences on the passing of a great man. I have not seen Eardly since I was in my teens, but I remember him fondly. Growing up in Pigotts, the families were close to each other. I remember playing under the huge tree in his yard and picking guineps and other fruit from the trees. He will be fondly remembered by me
Melderine James. Now living in Toronto, Canada

  7. Erica and Everett Lake :

Words cannot begin to describe the loss we feel, my uncle Eardley, my dads older brother was a very kind and affectionate man! he loved family and was always interested in his nieces and nephews productivity in life! mainly myself, Donna, Janet, and Julie 🙂 a true educator by nature he was always one to give you a lecture about something historical and loved to read. I am very happy that I got to speak with him way before his passing because that’s exactly how I wanted to remember him, I still know the sound of his voice and can still see him plain as day. My father holds many childhood memories of their time together and he will be sorely missed, with that said he’s now joined my beloved aunt mymin and I know one day we will see them again. Our condolences to you Judith and to the rest of uncle eardleys friends who mourn such a wonderful person.

  8. Paddy (Pat) Campbell :

Judith, I am so sorry that you and all of us will never hear Eardley’s laughter in your home except perhaps a faint echo from the living things that he nurtured. It was interesting to read another friend’s thoughts on how he hated socks. No idea that he and I shared this distaste for socks. I remember fondly Eardley’s deep commitment to you when you were so ill yourself. The daily visit with the vegetable concoction that was a sure cure for you. It is too bad his path was different. He is with his God now and I know that there would be few who are more welcome than he will be. Love Pat.
