February 16, 2014 – Calgary, AB

Encia was born in Oas, Albay, Philippines on April 22, 1927. She came to Canada thirteen years ago after her husband passed away. On February 16, 2014, Encia peacefully left us to join her loving husband.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was a devout Catholic and deeply valued her Christian faith.

Encia lived with her son and daughter-in-law in Canada. She also frequently stayed with her daughter in Switzerland where she enjoyed chocolates and a garden full of her favourite fruits and vegetables.

Her children will always remember her as a loving and resourceful mother who ensured their needs were always met. She was also a loving grandmother who loved all her grandchildren dearly.

Encia will be deeply missed by her son Danilo and his wife Norie; daughters Ester and Yolanda and her husband Jean-Pierre; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Janine, Philippe and Marla.
