Jefferson Michael Lewis passed away on September 22, 2012, at the age of 75 years.
He is survived by his children Jacqueline (Dwayne) Peace, Caroline (Cory) Van Putten and Christopher (Naomi) Lewis all of Calgary; sister Gwendoline Ann Reed of England; grandchildren Kristy, Eric, Michelle, Melissa, Anderson, Nathaniel and many nieces and nephews. Michael is remembered by his loving companion Margita Balogh of Calgary.
Michael was born in London, England and received his education in Wales and then Brentford, England, where he received his Electrical Journeyman Ticket and began his career as an electrician. He completed two years with R.A.O.C. as a storeman. Michael married Brenda Minter in 1961 and together raised three children. Michael and his family immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in October of 1969.
Michael spent his time pursuing many sports and leisure activities with his love of dancing and music at the top of his list. Michael enjoyed good food, good company and good conversation.
A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.
