LEONARD, Trudy Ann

September 26, 1961 – Mannville, Alberta
July 31, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta

Trudy passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the age of 56 years after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Trudy served in a variety of capacities in the service industry for many years prior to setting out on her own. Trudy founded two successful businesses; including Stellar Skateboard and a private catering company in Grande Cache, Alberta. Trudy was an avid baker and chef, constantly creating legendary meals. She relished a good cappuccino with girlfriends, appreciated nature and was a budding poet. Trudy spent her time doting on her children and grandchildren, ensuring they never went without. Anyone who ever knew Trudy, they know she never gave up.

Trudy is survived by her partner Barry Lundy; her children Logan (Melinda) Lundy, Cody Lundy, Kristin Leonard; grandchildren Ayra Lundy, Logan Lundy, Jr., Livia Lundy, Holden Lundy; siblings Shirley (Bent) Anderson, Beverly (Marvin) Sharp-Samograd, Donna (Christos) Stavropolous, Kirk Sharp (Rachel Taylor), Debbie (Howard) Arnold, and David (Donna) Sharp.

Trudy was predeceased by her sister Betty Perkins, parents Bill and Florence Sharp, niece Michelle Montgomery, nephew Chad Allan-Ford, and niece Anna Grace Trembley.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.  Reception to follow at the Hawkwood Uplands (20 Hawkside Road N.W.).  Condolences may be forwarded through The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Cross Cancer Institute and Sorrentino’s Compassion House in Edmonton, as well as the Tom Baker Cancer and Dulcina Care Hospice in Calgary.
