  7. I am so very sorry to hear about Peter’s passing. We are traveling and will not be able to attend Peter’s service. He was an exceptional man, a great friend and a true inspiration to so many. I had the pleasure to work with, and admire, Peter in the very early days of my career. I learned so much from him. He was major contributor to the success of Reed’s and its dramatic growth from a regional agent to a global international broker. No problem or challange was too great for Peter. He relished any opportunity to excel and succeed. He was razor sharp tenacious and had as amazing ability to command attention and enlist support. He really was one of the great brokers in our industry. He also was an exceptional man. I loved his personality, zest for life, sense of humour, irreverence towards bureaucracy and intolerance of BS. He worked hard, played hard and lived life to the fullest. He was so very very proud of his family and talked lovingly about you whenever we met. You are very lucky to have known Peter as a husband, father and grandfather. Robyn and I extend our condolences and best wishes to you at this most difficult time. Mike Bagby

  15. Dear Family,

I was saddened hear of the passing of Peter. He was a great man and engaging on so many topics. I remember Peter taking me to his favorite Irish Pub in New York when I stayed with Peter and Betty about 28 years ago. He was offfering much sage advise to me as a young businessman – such as “If you have the balls to make it in New York – You can make it anywhere!” Peter was a class act, and I have enjoyed the many years of knowing the wonderful Leitch family.

    With Best Regards and condolences,
    Bob Thompson
