It is with incredible sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Guy passed away at the Peter Laugheed ICU on August 14, 2012 at the age of 68 years after fighting a courageous battle of liver disease and cancer. He was embraced and surrounded by his immediate family.
Guy was born in Hoey, Saskatchewan. His family moved to Bowness, Alberta in 1956. He was a talented baker for 20 plus years for the Calgary Stampede. Later he worked for the Carriage House Hotel. He was a very hard working family man. Guy enjoyed the life of work hard and play hard.
Guy is survived by his beloved wife Diana of 47 years; his son Shawn (Jay), daughter Michelle (Mike); grandchildren Dallas (Lynn), Danika, and Colton; great-grandchildren Grayden and Dawson; sisters Clemence, Doris, Delorie (Bob), as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Guy was predeceased by his sister Doreen, father Clem, and mother Berthe, as well as brother-in-law Morley Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
