Condolence Messages

  1. Uncle Joe will be missed. I know he was very, very dear to my grandpa, Paul, and to his many nieces and nephews. Whenever something big was happening in Winnipeg- a birthday-a wedding-a reunion- Uncle Joe made sure he was here to be a part of it. Often that was no easy feat for him, but he came nonetheless; what an example to us all! He was a kind man with a great sense of humor.

  3. Gail Schell (nee Larkin) :

There are many thoughts that flow through my mind that would describe my Uncle Joe, but the most evident would be that Uncle Joe was a gentleman. His gentle voice, kind disposition and naturally compassionate character gave Uncle Joe a place of honour in my list of heroes. We encounter many people in our journey of life and I am truly grateful that Uncle Joe was a part of mine. Rest in Peace my dear Uncle Joe, you lived your life as a true gentleman. Thoughts and prayers are covering his girls and their families at this time of sorrow. Our deepest sympathy . . . Hoss & Gail.

  8. I am so sorry to hear of Joes passing. For the last two months I had the opportunity to visit with Joe once a week through the linkages program. I learned so much about him and always thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Joe was a gentleman and a hero. He fondly talked about his children and grandchildren, and I was thrilled for him when the Roughriders won. He will be greatly missed.
