LADHA – Salima Naush (nee Dada)

LADHA – Salima Naush (nee Dada)

March 3, 1972, – December 24, 2010

If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.
~Author Unknown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Salima (Sali, as known to her many loved ones), succumbed to the many health challenges she faced over most of her short time on earth. To say that she faced her challenges courageously would be a complete understatement. Not only was she very strong and brave, she was always kind, gentle, loving, caring, sharing and learning. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Naush, her parents Sadru and Sitar, her brothers, Karim and Shameer, her sister-in-law, Selina, her nephews, Rayhan and Saif and too many friends to mention.

Funeral Services will be held at the Ismaili Jamat Khana & Centre (4623 – 11th Street N.E.) on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. We would especially like to thank the nurses on Unit 38 at Peter Lougheed Hospital for the love and compassion they showed to Salima. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.

In living memory of Salima Ladha, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Telephone: (403) 243-8200.

    Naush and Family,

I was so sad today to hear of Salima’s passing. I knew Salima as a fellow Occupational Therapist in the MBA program at the U of C, and she shared so much laughter and smiles with her fellow students, while being respected for her intelligence, respect for others, and family values. I know she loved you very much, Naush as she spoke of you often. My best wishes for your families at this very very sad time.

  21. Dewjis, Murjis and Kassams on January 5th, 2011 8:32 pm

    Situ aunty and family,

Nobody should ever have to feel such profound losses and even after we do we sit in disbelief. Our hearts have an empty space which can never be filled, those moments where it feels like nothing will ever make us laugh again, or smile again, these are the moments to remember a joke we shared with our angels. You will be able to feel her in the cool breeze of the wind, hear her in the chirping of the birds, and see her in the laughter of children. You all are in our thoughts and our prayers and our belief is that she like all the other ruhanis are having one long dance party where there is no pain and no suffering and they are waiting for us to one day join them too!

    Dewjis, murjis and kassams
