LAATSCH, Isabel Shirley
May 9, 1922 – December 16, 2011
Shirley Laatsch, beloved wife of Keith Laatsch, of Calgary, passed away quietly on December 16th, 2011. Her life was creating a warm and loving home for her family and friends. Her legacy is the simplicity and depth of her wisdom and the grace with which she shared it. She was unconditional love, acceptance of what is, calm and gentle strength, and honesty. We take comfort in knowing that such a beautiful person must now be in a very beautiful place. Her family would like to thank all of her dear caregivers at Wentworth Manor, Dr. Thornton and Dr. Nesbitt and his staff of angels for frequently letting her know she was a breath of fresh air, sweet and very loved.
Shirley is survived by her son Keith (Bernadette) and her daughter Cindy (Bob Reader), her five grandchildren, Devon, Cale, Derek, James and Cheyenne as well as by her niece Denise (Dennis Kadatz) and their family, and many other cherished relatives.
She was predeceased by her son James in 1961, her husband Keith in 1996 and her sister Eileen Tannous in 2009.
Those wishing to pay their respects are most welcome to do so at an Open House at Bob and Cindy Reader’s home, on Monday, January 2nd, 2012 anytime between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail for directions.
