In the early hours of December 7, 2007, Edward Kuhn lost his courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 16, 1945 in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Ed was the youngest of four sons. His parents, Frank and Magdalena, were pioneer farmers from Yugoslavia who immigrated to Canada in 1929, with Ed’s brothers John, Matt and Tony. University of Alberta Alumni, CMA and CGA, Edward’s real passions were reading and the outdoors. He enjoyed nothing more than a good book and a long hike with his dog Bella. His humble and gentle nature touched all those that were fortunate enough to know him. Even during his sickness, he remained the quiet, strong and positive individual that defined him throughout his life. Despite knowing that his illness was beyond cure, Ed participated in numerous studies and underwent treatment in the hopes that his discomfort would benefit future cancer patients.
Ed will continue to live in the memories and hearts of his loving wife and partner, Monica; children Teresa (Gian Marco) and Trevor (Maria); brothers John (Margaret) and Tony (Edna); grandchildren Tomas, Sarah and Marcus, as well as his numerous nieces, nephew, family and friends. Ed was predeceased by his brother Matt in 1997.
