KRAMINSKY, Ruth (nee Becker)

October 22, 1926 – May 12, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Kraminsky at Trinity Lodge in Calgary on May 12, 2013. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Carol Snell (Allan) of Regina, son Greg (Ellen) of Calgary, and brother Alec Becker (Ruth) of Vancouver. She was an adoring “Bubbe” to four loving grandchildren Eddie, Mikaela, Gabriel and Aaliyah. She took great joy in the accomplishments of her children, and relished in all the diverse activities of her grandchildren. Ruth was born in Vancouver, but made her home in many places including Regina, Victoria and Calgary. A great legacy was her ability to forge lasting relationships wherever she went. She was a devoted friend and throughout her years amassed a wealth of good friends in return. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years Ralph, parents Irving and Rebecca (Becky) Becker, and brother Will. The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Trinity Lodge who provided such a warm and caring home for Ruth and helped make her 3-1/2 years in Calgary so comfortable and enjoyable. Funeral Services and Internment will be held Friday May 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Schara Tzedeck Cemetery, 2345 Marine Drive, New Westminster, B.C. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

We were very saddened to hear of Auntie Ruthie’s passing. She was a very dear friend to Mom and as close as you can get to an aunt without blood to me, Ted and Michael. We have great memories of her big smile, wonderful laugh and amazing attitude toward life. Hold on to those memories. Lots of love to all of you.

Ruth played bridge at our social bridge club for many years. She was a fine bridge player and had a neat sense of humour. She often spoke lovingly of her children and grand children and I know you all will miss her. Goodbye Ruth..From all your friends at the Friday Steveston Bridge Club
