KOSS, Sharon Eileen Frances (nee Collins)

March 29, 1941 – August 21, 2012

It is with broken hearts that we announce the blessed and peaceful passing of our beloved Sharon into God’s arms. Her short, courageous and fearless battle with cancer inspired all of us every day to be positive and live life to the fullest. The angels have swept down from heaven and taken her peacefully into their arms with her family and her niece at her side.

Everyone who knew Sharon marvelled at what a thoughtful, compassionate and caring person she was every day of her life. She always wanted to make people happy and put everyone first in her life. She will be fondly remembered for her passion of gardening, painting, baking and being with her family. She loved hosting family gatherings and having everyone together.

Sharon was born in Regina, SK and shortly after, her parents and her brother all moved to Edmonton, AB. Sharon pursued her dreams of entering her career choice of an X-Ray Technician. In 1963 Sharon married her loving husband Roger.

Sharon leaves behind many people who loved her so much and will miss her dearly forever: including her loving husband of forty-nine years Roger and her loving children, Sue and Gary (Lexy). Her five grandchildren were her special prides of joy, Brett (12), Kendra (9), Sabrina (17), Brode (4), and Marcus (3). Her grandchildren were so close to her and will forever hold so many memories of their Grammy in their hearts – our worlds will not be the same without her. Sharon also leaves behind her numerous nieces and nephews of whom she thought the world of – and to whom she was always a special Auntie. She also leaves her many brother and sisters-in-law who dearly loved her. Sharon joins her parents Estelle and John (Jack), her brother Russell, her sister-in-law Agnes and her brothers-in-law Dave and Nick in heaven.

Thank you to all of our wonderful family, friends and neighbours who were so fantastic to Sharon for so many years. Special thanks for your prayers, visits and support during Sharon’s illness. You truly made her final days blessed with love which meant the world to her.

Many heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the Southwood Hospice. You took wonderful care of our Sharon and helped our family through the very emotional last days of her life.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
