  6. Bonnie Rothwell :

Mr. Knight was my English teacher for 2 years at Western Canada HS back in the late 50’s. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. It was a pleasure to have contact with him during the school’s 100 year celebration. I was touched that he remembered me from so long ago. He had great impact on my thinking and choices I made – all for the better.
His legacy is all of his students who benefited from his teaching.
    With condolences,
    Bonnie Rothwell, Class of 61′

Mr. Knight will always hold a special place in my heart. He instilled in me a deep desire to learn about the world. He was very reserved, but his dry humor always managed to peek thru. My deepest sympathy to Mrs.Knight, Sherry and Lauree.

  9. Nora Armitage Hilton :

I realize that it has now been a year since Mr. Knight (as I called him) died, but I just found the obituary recently. I wanted to write just to say that he was my favorite high school teacher at Western from 1959 to June 1961. I loved going to his Eng. class and so regret that I did not keep in touch. However, I am gratified to learn that he had such a long life, and, I am sure, a happy life.
I was glad to see that he was lucky enough to have grandchildren, as that is the stage where I am now.
    Please accept my belated sympathy,
    Nora
