KLEISINGER, Ralph Leonard

December 26, 1929 – March 10, 2013

After a lengthy illness, a strong and courageous man, Ralph Kleisinger, earned his angel wings on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the age of 83 years.

Ralph was born on December 26, 1929 in Regina Saskatchewan. He spent his childhood in Regina and attended St. Mary’s College. Sixty-two years ago Ralph met, courted and married his sweetheart Yvonne.

As a young family Ralph and Yvonne moved to Calgary where they raised their five children. Ralph started a long career in the oil industry as a wire line operator where Ralph was known as Col. Klink. Ralph soon became acknowledged as an expert in his field and was the one to call for a difficult job. Ralph spent ten years working overseas on off shore rigs in Scotland, Holland, Indonesia and Australia as well as teaching wire line school in Holland for Schlumberger. Upon retirement from the oil industry Ralph and Yvonne moved back to Calgary where Ralph joined Canyon Plumbing and Heating, working in the pre-fab department. Through out his life Ralph enjoyed and was proud of his family and his work.

Father’s hold their children’s hands for a little while…but hold their hearts forever.

Ralph is survived by his five children, Donald (Doreen), Denise (Harry), Angela (Alex), Martin and Leonard; ten grandchildren, Tracy, Kevin, Jason, Yvonne, Mark, Sarah, Lisa, Dana, Kassy and Brett; and eleven great-grandchildren, Emma, Kayla, Jaeger, Blake, Sophia, Max, Ryan, Hadley, Kyan, Ryder and Payton. He is predeceased by his loving wife Yvonne Aileen (July 2012), granddaughter Tracy, and grandson Craig.

To Angie, Zan and all of the family. We were very sad to learn of Ralph’s passing. We were blessed with having been able to get to know him and Yvonne in recent years. I just wish we had got to know both of them better when they were at Whitecourt. At that time we were all so busy chasing time and acquirng”things” for our families. The chase was on. It seems we had so much in common that all of us would have really enjoyed our times to-gether. We will always cherish the dancing and celebrating on the “shuswap” deck together with remeniscing the “good old days”. They will always be remembered and live in our hearts forever. Us kids are now enjoying the “twilight” years. Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy is with all of you at this time. As Bing Crosby said – may the good Lord bless and keep you – until we meet again. Claude & Vivian Gould

We extend our deepest sympathies for the second time in a year.
We were neighbors in #78 and saw the way you were so attentive to your mom in her last days and we know you did the same for your dad because you are the caring and loving people they raised.
Love & support each other now through the grieving and ever after. God Bless!
