KLEIN, Katherine

August 19, 1928 – October 5, 2012

Katherine Klein of Calgary passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the age of 84 years.

Katherine was born and raised in Francis, SK. She married Valentine Klein in August 1950 and started their family in Regina. They both retired to Calgary in 1983 to be closer to family. Katherine was a loving and caring mother with many talents and always there for her family to lend a helping hand.

Katherine is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Valerie and Richard Eckstein; two sons and daughters-in-law Victor and Caryl Klein and Kelly Klein and Gerry McLean; eight grandchildren, Theresa, Steven, Jeremy, Adam, Jannasia, Nicole, Holly and Emma and three great-grandchildren Amanda, Wesley and Cody. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Paul and Carol Schlosser of Regina; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tony and Alma Klein of Saskatoon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Katherine was predeceased by her parents John and Amelia Schlosser, her husband Valentine Klein in 2002; a son Gary Klein; daughter-in-law Sherry Klein and a brother Joseph Schlosser.
