In his retirement, Jim enjoyed playing golf, swapping stories with friends over a coffee or lunch and trips back to Shaunavon, staying connected with his home town. Jim was also his grandkids’ staunchest supporter, spending many hours in the rink, at the soccer pitch, or wherever his grandchildren were playing the games they love.

  4. Michael and Hanne Stanfield :

We have many happy memories of Jim at the soccer field, submerged in bags of equpment and soccer balls, sometimes buried under an umbrella in the rain, always cheerful in spite of the bad weather. He never seemed to feel the cold!
We remember his generosity to the children and us, taking us out to restaurants. We remember how faithfully he attended hockey games alongside his son Randy. We send Randy and Karin and the three children our condolences. Love from Mormor and Bedstefar.
