  1. Lorraine Willems (nee Ruf) :

    LaVerne and Family:
I have some warm memories of Albert. I recall how impressed I was to see my cousin, 12 years my senior, dressed in his City of Calgary Transit uniform – he looked so sharp and professional to this young teen.

After I left the Ruff Farm for Bible College, I didn’t get in on the family trips to visit our Calgary relatives. Our contacts then were limited to various family functions that we both attended.

I appreciated Albert’s willingness to give the closing prayer for Herman & Mabel Ruff’s 90th Birthday party/Johnson Reunion. The story he told before he prayed was about how he felt when his favorite Aunty Mabel left to marry some stranger. Fortunately, his anger vanished when he found out that his new Uncle Herman wasn’t such a bad guy after all. 🙂

My prayer is that you each would know God’s peace and healing as you go through the transitions ahead. – Lorraine

  4. Eve(Roger) Beaulieu :

To the amazing Kerr family: Mr. Kerr was a great man. I remember his smile, his deep voice and his relationship with my Lord Jesus. He was another great person who inspired me to continue in my walk with Christ relentlessly.. He had one great testimony and he is greatly missed. I only just found out about his passing as I have been reading about Laverne whom I also miss. I am without words as I have missed many years of being in touch with the believers I use to know. Some walk by me as if I was invisible. Perhaps I am. Smiling now as I pray without ceasing for this life and the next. Many life’s tragedies had passed by me and I am sorry I have been out of touch.Life does throw us a few small surprises at times. My prayers are with you. See you soon at the heavenly gates as the world is in pain at the moment. It will be glorious one day when we all gather in eternity. Praise the Lord. Brenda Kerr(one of God’s precious servants ) every time I see her is a great reminder to me just how precious Jesus is and how we need to press on no matter what. May Mr. Kerr rest in peace… until we meet again. In Jesus as always, Eve
