Jozsef (Joe) Keri passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice, Calgary, on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the age of 82, with family by his side.
Joe immigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1956 with his wife and two year old son. After living in Montreal for two years, he moved his family to Wawa where he worked as a Bit Grinder at Algoma Ore for many years. Upon his retirement he moved to Sault Ste. Marie and then later to Calgary, Alberta. Joe will be remembered for his beautiful artwork, his carpentry skills, his beautiful roses and by his faithful companion of thirteen years, Hydro for the many miles walked.
Joe, will be lovingly thought of by his wife of sixty years Julia; sons Joseph Keri (Carla) and Peter Keri (Soo); daughter Eva Leclerc (John); granddaughters Tasha Keri (Jean Kagian) and Nadia Keri; great-granddaughter Amelia Kagian (daughter of Tasha and Jean); and family in Hungary.
