Condolence Messages

  1. I knew Gord as a business colleague. As I knew him he was committed to Calgary and Alberta. He was ambitious for us in healthy ways. He wanted us to grow into a better place; one our grandchildren would be proud of. He was also reliable and imaginative. I am thankful for his friendship and his life. My heart and prayers goes out to you.

  2. So sorry to hear about your loss. It’s been so long since we’ve seen you (probably when I was out in Calgary in ’85 or so) but I remember you all very fondly and was saddened by the news.

  3. Walter and Chrisrtine Kudryk :

    Dear Jane,

It is with sadness that we learned from the Globe & Mail that Gordon, our good friend and Walter’s associate, passed away at such a premature age. Only a few months ago, Gordon called Walter and talked about his plan to come to Toronto to pursue his business interests. He was to stay at our place. It did not come to pass – we will miss him.

Please accept our condolences for the loss of your husband and father.

    Chris and Walter

  4. Dear Jane, I was saddened to read that the familiar face in the Globe and Mail obits was that of your dear Gordon. Although we had lost touch since the passing of Bill in 1989, I wanted you to know that I add my sympathy, thoughts and prayers to those of your friends and family in the hope that it will bring you some comfort. In time if you find yourself in Toronto, I would love to have a visit. Fondly, Carol.

    Dear Jane, Susan and Douglas,

Marg and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Gordon’s death. It has been awhile since we had seen Gordon and we did not know about his illness. My friendship with Gordon goes back to at least the early ’50’s and we enjoyed many good times together in Toronto and Calgary. I treasure those times.

Jane, our thoughts are with you and Susan and Douglas at this time of loss and we send you all our deepest sympathy.

    With love and respect,

    Rick

  8. Meg Van Rosendaal :

    Dear Jane and family

I used to know Gord when I was doing work for the Cultural District in DT Calgary. He was always willing to participate in meetings and planning sessions, wrote several papers that I still have, full of innovative ideas. I was trying to track him down today, and am very sorry to hear that he’s been gone more than a year now. I send my condolences. I was very fond of Gord.

    Meg
