Betty Keck beloved wife of the late Arthur Larrivee and the late John Keck passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the age of 95 years.
Betty and Arthur farmed south of Moose Jaw until 1957 when they moved into Moose Jaw where Arthur passed away in 1960. Betty married John Keck in 1977 and they lived in Moose Jaw where John passed away in 1999. Betty worked in secretarial and bookkeeping positions at CFB Moose Jaw and then at Canada Manpower in Moose Jaw until she retired. Her last residence in Moose Jaw was at the Bentley. Betty was an avid bridge player and active in lawn bowling when she lived in Moose Jaw. In 2008 Betty moved to Calgary to be closer to her family.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lorne and Judy Larrivee; son-in-law Dan Mierau; as well as five grandchildren; Brent (Jennifer) Mierau, Darren (Candace) Larrivee, Laura (Graham) Zeiler, Carrie (Jason) Ragan, and Trevor Larrivee. She will also be missed by 10 great grandchildren, Connor and Garrett Larrivee, Paige, Jocelyn, Cole and Zachary Ragan, Emma and Christian Mierau, and Kaitlyn and Sydney Zeiler. Betty was predeceased by her husbands, Arthur (1960) and John (1999), and by her daughter Ione Mierau in 2003.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W. Calgary, AB), today, August 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The Graveside Service will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Moose Jaw, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
