Kearney (nee MacDonald), Ernestine

Ernestine (Ernie) Kearney (nee MacDonald) beloved wife of Mel, of Calgary, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008 at the age of 63 years.
Ernie was born in Stony Rapids in Northern Saskatchewan and was married there to Mel on October 15, 1966. She was a very hardworking housewife who shared her love for us, kept our home “spotless” and cooked the greatest meals from Uranium City to Fort McMurray, Hinton, Saskatoon, Lloydminster and finally to Calgary in 1984. Ernie enjoyed country music, picnics, camping and visiting her numerous relatives. Ernie will forever be in our hearts and sadly missed.
Besides her loving husband Mel, Ernestine will be remembered by her three sons, Michael, Christopher and James (JJ), all of Calgary; her two grandchildren, Kayley and Mitchell Kearney, of Calgary. She is also survived by two brothers, John (Georgina) MacDonald and William (Florence) MacDonald; sister-in-law Martha MacDonald; and three sisters, Agath (Glen) Mockford, of Edmonton, AB, Lorraine (Jules) MacDonald, of Stony Rapids, SK, and Marion (Paul) Sandipoint, of Black Lake, SK; and numerous nephews and nieces. Ernestine was predeceased by her parents Jimmy (1972) and Anne (2003), her brother Martin (1986), and two sisters, Angie Litwin (1982) and Jane Toutsaint (1987).
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at River Park Memorial Chapel (301 River Street West, Prince Albert, SK) on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (260 – 25 Street East, Prince Albert, SK) on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 10 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow in South Hill Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Special thanks to Dr. Eugene Adamiak and the nurses and staff of Unit 93, at the Rockyview General Hospital.
