Violet Elizabeth Karsten of Calgary, passed away peacefully at Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 69 years.
Violet was happiest when she was with her family or puttering in her garden. She loved her family, animals, her home, her beautiful garden and her flowers.
Violet is lovingly remembered by her sisters Helen Gomany of Lethbridge and Irene Kabatoff of Penticton, BC; and several nieces and nephews. Violet will be fondly remembered by all of us. She was predeceased by her loving husband George; her beautiful daughter Traci; her brother Louie Lukas Jr.; and her parents Mary and Louie Lukas Sr.
In honour of Violet’s wishes, a service will not be held. A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Violet, George and Traci. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carol Ogden for her kind-heartedness towards Violet every day; to Bobbie Gardiner for her continued care and companionship; and the doctors and staff of Foothills Medical Centre, especially Jill Roy from the Cardiac unit for her patience and understanding throughout Violet’s illness.
