Kaquitts, Tranadine Mariangela

Tranadine Kaquitts, along with her auntie Teresa Kaquitts, was called home by the Creator on January 25, 2004.

Tranadine was an active participant in the Wesley Youth Program and was a dedicated student at Nakoda College. She loved competing in rodeos and enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, and looked forward to the yearly summer camp get-together held in Rabbit Lake every summer. Tran was active in various sports, such as hockey, baseball, and volleyball.

Tran will be remembered for her kindness, humour and loving spirit. She always had a smile for everyone. She had respect for our Creator and was a strong believer in our Nakoda culture. Tran was the kind of person who would make you laugh and smile, even when you were having a bad day.

“She had a special way that warmed the hearts of everyone who knew her, and qualities that made her the wonderful person she was. Tran left us all with many beautiful memories… Until we are together again – Chusi!”

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Donna May; three sisters Teshalene (Karlo), Jolanna (Ira), and Alvanna (Lance); her grandmother Georgie Kaquitts; aunties Margaret Bearspaw, Betty (Chris), Lawanda, Deanna (Charles), Claudine and Geraldine Powderface; uncles Albert (Krista), Waylon (Sharon), Mathew (Gloria), Harvey (Tonya), Torrin, Johnny (Maureen), Rodrick (Lindsay), and Orville. Special friends Brennan Mark, Reuben Twoyoungmen, Charlie Beaver, Perry Ear, Preston Beaver, and Terry Ear; and grandparents Watson (Doreen), Donna (Derek), Alice (Tommy), and Norman (Maisie) Poucette; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Tranadine was predeceased by her grandfather Albert Bearspaw, great grandmother Jane Crawler, great grandfather Tom Poucette, special auntie Buffy Kaquitts, great grandparents Joe Kaquitts, Alice Kaquitts Sr., and Paul Wesley, grandmother Wilma Kaquitts, stepfather Morris Rider, and uncle Gregson Kaquitts. The family apologizes for anyone they have missed and appreciates the wonderful words of kindness and compassion expressed in this time of sorrow.
