Kaquitts, Albert

Albert Sr. (Kat, Tow;doe) was called home by our great Creator surrounded by his family at his home on Tuesday, June 17 2008 at the age of 52 years. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his soul mate Krista; and his six children, Alanna, Alysia, Kreelin, Keely, Aleika and Albert Jr.; His mother Georgie, twin sister Betty and sisters Margaret, Donna May and Lawanda (Ian); brothers Mathew (Trilena), Harvey (Tonya), Waylon (Tangee), Torin (Mryna) and Johnny (Maureen); aunties, Donna, Alice (Tommy); uncles Watson (Doreen), Norman (Maisie); mother-in-law Mary Jane, and Lorraine and Cameron, adopted daughter Agnes (Vincent), special sons Joerelle, Kobe, Emilio and Paden. As well as adopted aunt Lavina Brown ns special brothers Joey Hope, Adam North P. Helgi Eyford, Roger Boyer, and Blair Thomas, and numerous uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. The family apologizes if for anyone they have missed. Albert lived his life to the fullest; he was a great warrior who bravely battled cancer. Despite him being ill his motto was "Stay positive and stay focused". Albert was a special father who dearly loved his children; they meant the world to him. Albert was also a loving husband and a best friend to his wife. He grew up with five brothers and four sisters. His siblings looked up to him as a leader and guardian within the family. Albert was a kind, gentle, compassionate and understanding person and was respectful and nonjudgmental towards others. He made an effort to see all sides of situations that came into his life with a positive attitude. He believed in both Christianity and our traditional ways. He enjoyed learning about different people and their cultures and befriended people wherever he went, Albert was fortunate to have many opportunities in his life. He attended Morley Residential School, and worked in numerous jobs, most recently as the manager of the Wesley Wellness Program, and did his best to create wellness awareness for the nation. Also our dad was a cowboy; he actively participated in the rodeo circuit. Was an all-around cowboy but Team Roping captured his heart. He was known for his long bombing as a header, which took him travelling to rodeos throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and the USA. Albert was also part of the formation of the Wesley Roping Club. He later retired to raise his children, although his love of rodeo was always in his heart. Again Albert travelled throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and the USA for his daughters who participated in Powwows. Albert loved to listen to different types of music, reading, photography and watching movies. "Thank you Albert for being a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. You will always be in our hearts, till we meet again." Albert was predeceased by his father Albert, grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunties; and by his niece Tran, nephew Gary cousins, Teresa, Buffy, Roderick, and Mike (Crow); grand niece Teanna, and special friends, Harley Snow and George Little Mustache. Wake Services will be held at the residence Albert and Krista (Morley, AB) on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, 2008. Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
