  2. Dear Sharleen and Robin,

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father. It sounds like he had a meaningful and purposeful life.

My parents moved from Grandvies 2 years ago and my Dad now lives in a seniors home. He has Alzheimer’s but is physically in good health.

As a youngster I always enjoyed going to your house and the birthday parties that you had.
At my sixth birthday, both of you came to my party and gave me a silver dollar for a present. I have that dollar on display in our house. It reminds me of my childhood and the good friends I had growing up.

My wife (Dawn) and I have 3 children and live in Edmonton.

Again, I am sorry to hear of your father and know it must be difficult for you.

    My sincerest sympathy,

    Alan Mason

  8. Stan & Janet Kroetch :

Please accept our condolences on the death of Walter. He was a mentor of mine during my early years in the oil patch. Unfortunately, I haven’t worked in Alberta for the past 20 years and we had drifted apart. He was a good man and a good friend.

  9. Maureen & Bill Vander burgh :

Our condolences to the family on the loss of father and grandfather, Walter! We were privileged to be acquainted with Walter in the 1980’s while both of us worked in PanCanadian’s Drilling Department. Although we were not close, Walter always recognized us and regaled us with tales at many functions. We are presently out of town and would have been honored to attend his services in Calgary. Rob and Lou….see you in the New Year.
