Born in Debrecen, Hungary, October 13, 1915 and passed away in Calgary, Alberta, December 3, 2014. Elizabeth lived life with gusto and unflinching drive to get the job done. She was an artist, highly regarded and valued for her talent as a creator of specialty pastry and fine baked goods.
She is survived by her son Andrew, daughter Charlotte Kenney (Raymond), and son Peter (Patty); five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives in Canada and Hungary. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Dr. Geza L. Joó and her daughter-in-law Doreen M. Joó.
A Memorial Service to celebrate a life well lived will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Parkland Lounge (Main Floor) of the Southwood Care Centre (211 Heritage Drive S.E., Calgary)
