JONES, Myrtle (nee Guenther)

May 5, 1944 – May 1, 2013

Myrtle Jones, beloved wife of Ron Jones of Balzac, passed away following a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.

Myrtle will be remembered with love by her husband Ron; daughter (Carol) Rick; grandson Justin (Sabina); granddaughter Mel; great-granddaughters, Sophie and Anna; five sisters, Helen Schlag, Anna (Maurice) Madsen, Jennie (George) Bernemann, Shirley Chicheluk, and Florence (John) Vandenberg; one brother Harold (Helen) Guenther; as well as sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her son Michael; daughter Cheryl; parents Katherine and John; and brother Edward.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to your local Food Bank or Women’s Shelter.

I am really going to miss her loving smilely face and her personality, the way she treated Travis on the farm giving him gators rides and staying late past meeting time to play GOLF.
