  3. Warren Riddell :

    To the Jones Family

My name is Warren Riddell, I came on the Fire Dept with Ken in 1952. We became pretty good friends over the years.
I worked with Ken on the same shift when he was a District Chief & Platoon Chief. I always asked Bill Riddle when I saw him at our meetings.
On behalf of my wife Carolyn and myself I know he is really going to be missed after suffering so long.

    May God Bless

  5. Hi, my name is Dave Freeman and I joined the TFD in early 87. I was first stationed at Adelaide, which was our station 1, and that is where Ken was stationed as our Platoon Chief. I broke my hand early in my career, and was allowed to join a few of the guys as one of the Chiefs aides. I was very fortunate to drive Chief Jones and get to know him professionally and personally. He was always referred to as a “true gentleman”. It was my profound pleasure to know Ken for a few years until his retirement, and I truly regret not being able to see him again before he passed away.
Although he succumbed to cancer (something very common in our profession), we on the job always are happy that one of our brothers enjoyed a long retirement.
My deepest sympathies to the Jones family.
    Farewell brother.
